Who books vocal sessions

Solo artists finishing a single or EP track, rappers and singers with self-produced instrumentals, bands adding vocals after a live-room day in the 42 m² room, and songwriters who need a tidy demo for labels or publishers — all follow the same flow: prepared playback, focused booth time, documented takes.

We record minors from age 16 with written consent from a legal guardian. Guests are usually welcome if headcount stays reasonable (around 6 people including staff).

Rooms, mics and monitoring

The studio has 3 rooms: live room, control room and separate vocal booths. Vocals are tracked in iso booths to keep room tone and street noise out. From roughly 24 mics we shortlist two or three for a quick shoot-out — often a condenser for detail and a dynamic for loud or close parts.

In the control room you listen on the 32-channel path and nearfields; your headphone mix is adjustable independently so you can pitch without fighting an overpowering instrumental.

A typical session day

After check-in we load your playback (WAV or stems), set song-start markers and agree priorities — usually verses and hooks first, then doubles, harmonies and ad-libs on their own tracks.

The engineer logs take numbers and short notes (e.g. “take 4 — less sibilance”). If you want comping inside the booked block, we reserve time at the end; otherwise we deliver raw tracks or comp in a follow-up session.

What to prepare

Bring the instrumental without a guide vocal when possible — 24-bit WAV at 48 kHz unless your project uses another rate (tell us in advance). Printed or tablet lyrics save downtime. Tempo and key help everyone lock in faster.

Practical voice prep is in our guide vocal prep before the studio. Hydrate normally; extreme cold right before the booth is hard to fix in post — the engineer can tame pops and breaths but not exhaustion.

Delivery, formats and archive

Default delivery is vocal WAVs aligned to song start with clear names (e.g. Lead_L1, Adlib_R3). On request: a ZIP of all takes or a Logic/Pro Tools session when recorded in the same format.

Files go out via secure download or your drive. Nobodyluno GmbH keeps project data for 24 months on internal systems, then deletes unless agreed otherwise — see the privacy policy.

Prices incl. VAT and net reference

Studio rates are gross prices with 20% Austrian VAT. B2B invoices show net and tax; payment terms for business clients: 14 days from invoice when agreed.

Longer blocks cost less per hour than singles — useful when you stack several songs in one day. Extras such as extended comping or external mixdowns are quoted separately; see services.

Revisions, cancellation and terms

Vocal tracking is a live service — “revisions” here mainly mean editing (comping, trims) inside booked time or follow-ups. For mixing and mastering, up to 2 feedback rounds apply per terms and conditions.

Free rescheduling up to 7 days before the slot; after that the deposit may apply if no replacement date is found. We usually reply within 2 business days.

Not included in the hourly rate

Not automatic: full-song mixing, mastering, new beat production, session musicians, translation or travel outside Vienna. Pitch correction as an effect only by request and with clear agreement.
